Two Weeks in Burundi
At Calvary Transformation Ministries (CTM), transformation is more than a vision — it’s a living testimony of faith, fellowship, and commitment to the future of Burundi. Led by Enock Hatungimana, CTM continues its work in education, agriculture, and care for vulnerable communities, with one key project now in sharp focus: the launch of New Generation Transformative School, a K–12 institution rooted in Christian values and excellence.
Teacher Training that Equips and Inspires
During their recent two-week visit, Analiisa and her team of educators conducted a powerful teacher training workshop:
Teaching new approaches to brain development
Incorporating play-based and creative techniques
Empowering local educators to deliver transformational instruction
These sessions equipped our teachers to bring knowledge alive in the classroom — a cornerstone for the future of the school.
Agricultural Growth for School & Community
A team of master gardeners joined CTM to help refine the school’s agricultural program. Their contributions included:
Creating terraced beds
Conducting soil testing
Installing fencing
And even finishing the floor in the final classroom
This garden will serve as a vibrant source of nourishment and education for the children — a growing testament to sustainability and community empowerment.
Endorsement from the Ministry of Education
We were blessed with a surprise visit from the Burundian Ministry of Education, who praised the rapid progress since their March visit. To proceed with our September school opening, CTM must now fulfill three final requirements:
A playground
Additional toilets
A secure perimeter fence
We have the workers ready. What we need are the resources.
