PROGRAMS & PROJECTS.

Calvary Transformation Ministries has been involved in the provinces of Burundi since its inception in 2011 and served in the communities in a variety of ways: Resource Distribution, Leadership Development, Widow and Orphan Care, Trauma Training, Marriage and Family Strengthening, Health & Hygiene, Farming and Livestock, Resource Stewardship, Biblical Studies, Character Formation, Evangelism. Below are a few highlights of actions taken by the team or in partnership with other ministries.

Widow and Orphan Care

Vision Casting for Burundi Without Orphans
Training of Church and Community Leaders to Promote Family Preservation and Strengthening
Family Restoration and Reunification
Trauma and Child Care Seminars
Child Placement for Foster Care
Church support for families in need

Training & Education

5 national conferences organized at different places with 2,792 persons in attendance

Resource

Distribution

Distribution of school material to 317 orphans in different provinces
Provision of school uniforms
Food distribution to 283 vulnerable households and displaced persons due to famine and flooding
Clothing distribution to 86 orphans and vulnerable persons
Land purchased for a widow in need

Community Development

750 solidarity groups have been set up to tackle income-generating activities thanks to members savings and possible support from NGOs
These solidarity groups assemble 22,500 people.
Distribution of 27 pigs to 27 solidarity groups

Family & Marriage Strengthening

Conferences, seminars, counseling, and home visits for helping to strengthen family and marriages.

Home Construction

Construction of 417 houses for families in need.
Distribution of sturdier roofing materials for those in need prior to rainy season

WHERE WE WORK.

OUR OPERATIONAL ORGANIZATION

To carry out its activities Calvary Transformation Ministries has structures at different levels

The Executive committee that directs all activities carried out the country through five (5)regions.

North region includes provinces: Kayanza, Ngozi, Muyinga, and Kirundo
South regions brings together provinces: Rumonge,Makamba,Bururi And Rutana
Central region includes provinces: Gitega, Muramvya, and Mwaro
Western region composed of provinces: Bujumbura Mairie, Bujumbura, Bubanza, and Cibitoke
Eastern region formed by Ruyigi, Karusi, and Cankuzo

Each region has a regional committee which administers the provincial committee.

Each provincial committee oversees the activities of the communal committee.

Each communal committee directs the activities of the zonal committee. These in turn control the activities of the hill committees.
